Chahat Vajpayee is an IAS officer today. She got the All India Rank 59th in the Union Public Service Commission's 2018 Civil Services Examination. But Chahat had to wait a long time to get success in UPSC. She was successful in the third attempt. Even after two failures, Chahat did not lose courage and kept working hard. According to Chahat's family members, she was fine in studies since childhood. After Intermediate, she cleared the entrance exam of IIT. After which she obtained a degree in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur. During this time she decided to go to UPSC. After engineering, she started preparing.

Chahat also chose the subject of graduation as an optional subject. In this, she got success by getting good marks. Chahat believes that candidates must study for at least 9 hours while preparing for UPSC. With this, all the topics can be covered easily. With this, revision also goes well.
